Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood
‘MSMW Live: In Case the World Changes Its Mind’
Medeski Martin & Wood supported guitarist John Scofield on his 1998 album ”A Go Go,” and they joined forces again, under the name Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, on 2006’s ”Out Louder.” The quartet’s new double CD is a live recording of 12 songs drawn (with the exception of ”Amazing Grace”) from those two discs during a 2006 tour. On tunes like ”Southern Pacific,’’ the group’s ethos comes clear: There is no leader; everyone contributes equally.
