"Isn't She Lovely?" about Stevie Wonder's daughter

  • Next
  • Previous
While Nicks and Richie wrote comfort songs during tragedy, Stevie Wonder penned one of his biggest hits as a celebration. In 1976, the pianist wrote "Isn't She Lovely?" following the birth of his daughter, Aisha: "Isn't she lovely? / Isn't she wonderful? / Isn't she precious? / Less than one minute old." The recording even uses sounds of the baby girl on the track -- it opens with the child's cry and closes with her giggles.
