As a true rock 'n' roll poet, Bob Dylan can be rather abstract at times. But he can also be surprisingly blunt. There's no public denial of writing a song for his first wife, Sara Lowndes, who he dedicates at least two songs to, "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" and "Sara." In the "Sara" lyrics, Dylan actually talks about writing the other song for her: "Stayin' up for days in the Chelsea Hotel / Writin' 'Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands' for you." Talk about direct.
