Long before Clapton was inspiring songs, he was being inspired. Model, photographer, and two-time rock star wife Pattie Boyd served as inspiration for a number of Clapton tunes including "Layla" and "Wonderful Tonight." But before she married Clapton, she was married to the Beatles guitarist George Harrison, causing one of rock's biggest love triangles. In her autobiography, she claims to have inspired Harrison's "Something," arguably his most renowned Beatles' tune. Harrison denied that it was Boyd he was thinking of when he wrote "Something in the way she moves / Attracts me like no other lover." She is rumored to be the inspiration behind a number of other Harrison and Clapton songs, though none quite as popular as "Layla," "Wonderful Tonight," and "Something."
