Big performances marked the 2008 American Music Awards, which was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Nov. 23.

Highlights included Christina Aguilera's (left) high-energy opening number, a performance from rapper Kanye West, three wins for R&B singer Chris Brown, and a reunited New Kids on the Block performing a medley of hits from today and yesteryear.
