You know those tunes that somehow find a way to lodge themselves into your brain, forcing you to hum the refrain for what seems like days on end? Well those tunes have a name: earworms. According to dictionary.com, earworms are "a song or tune that gets stuck in one's mind and repeats as if on a tape."
