Music: 2011's 'Did that really happen?'
Rebecca Black probably would have been just another starry-eyed teenager with a crappy song on YouTube had her debut single, "Friday," not been sooo crappy. But the almost offensively bad pop record, littered with Black's nasal, over-computerized vocals and mind-numbingly simple lyrics, actually shot the 13-year-old to international infamy after it was originally uploaded in February 2011. The accompanying music video became one of the most disliked clips on YouTube - but closed out 2011 as the site's most-watched video of the year. Black was also able to enjoy the spoils of pop success, appearing in a Katy Perry video, and hosting MTV's O Music Awards. Who's having fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, now?
