The Lilly Brothers, who were managed by former Club 47 board member Manny Greenhill, founded Folklore Productions in Boston in 1957. Everett Lilly (mandolin) and the late Bea Lilly (guitar) brought country music to Boston from their native West Virginia in the early 1950s. They were mainstays at the Hillbilly Ranch in Park Square, where many Club 47 musicians played with the band and honed their craft. Everett’s son, Everett Alan, later played with the Charles River Valley Boys.
