An admittedly odd choice, this album is hard to find, though it can be ordered through the pianist's website. It's inconceivable that this album (and this artist) hasn't been picked up by a major label. Piatigorsky beautifully merges the worlds of serious jazz and pop, combining pretty melodies with sophisticated improvisation.
