cardinal_omalley.jpgAnother snow storm is headed our way this weekend, say meteorologists who expect the brunt of the weather to hit Northern and Central Massachusetts. Boston Globe deputy metro editor Mike Bello noted during his news update on RadioBDC this morning that experts are divided on how much snow Boston can expect, but reports point to between four and eight inches of heavy, wet snow.

Bello also spoke to Julie Kramer and Henry Santoro about a 1.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Tuesday night, about 2.8 miles off Newburyport. According to Globe reporter Martin Finucane, the US Geological Survey says that earthquakes that small aren't felt by many people.

Cardinal Sean O'Malley, Archbishop of Boston, will be on his way to Rome next week to meet with the College of Cardinals and elect a new pope. O'Malley will hold a farewell Mass at high noon today in Braintree to pray for the papal conclave before heading across the pond.

Interestingly, according to Henry, once inside the the meeting, the Cardinals are not allowed to tweet.
