The much-anticipated "Dancing with the Celebrities," an annual charity event benefiting Autism Housing Pathways, took place this past Saturday night. Autism Housing Pathways (AHP) was created to provide information, support and resources for families who seek to create secure, supported housing for their adult children with disabilities. A worthy and important cause, to be sure.

I do what I can to advocate for autism awareness, so I was more than happy to get involved with this event, even if it meant putting on my dancing shoes--something I'm not very comfortable with. At all. Luck for me, I was paired up with the talented and patient Jillian Smith of A Waltz To Remember. We were given the task of learning the cha-cha. Jillian drew from her experience as a member of the MIT Ballroom Dance team and, with help from her partner Rob Lakow, put together a routine to M.C. Hammer's "U Can't Touch This." And did I get into character by donning a pair of Hammer pants? You betcha believe it.

You can watch the video of our routine below. BUT BEFORE YOU DO, a request. I went WAY out of my comfort zone doing this. So if you'd be so kind as to go out of your way and make a small donation to Autism Housing Pathways as a way of saying "thanks for the entertainment, M.C. Hammer12," I'd greatly appreciate that. And so would the folks at AHP.

Oh, and as a side note, the judges gave Jillian and me the 'Most Creative' award for our routine!
