Lawyers for Whitey Bulger claim they are seeking information about alleged crimes that could have been committed by hitman John Martorano, who is slated to testify against Bulger, reported Mike Bello this morning.

Martorano admitted to killing 20 people, and spent 12 years in prison for his crimes. He is expected to testify against Bulger in his upcoming racketeering trial.

Bulger's attorneys filed a motion late Thursday night after they say they receieved information that Martarano "continued his involvement in criminal activity after his release in 2007," said Bello. The papers also claim that Martorano has been shielded by the State Police, essentially getting a free pass for criminal conduct.

Listen to the rest of Mike Bello's assessment on this news during his daily segment this morning on RadioBDC.
