Dressed as the Queen of England as the world watched the Opening Ceremony for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Gary Connery achieved near-royal status as he performed as the Queen’s very own stunt double. Jumping from a helicopter, Connery base-jumped and parachuted to the ground in front of an international crowd and a global television audience.

As a professional stunt man and extreme sports athlete, Connery has a long and impressive list of movie credits and feats to his name. He is known as the only person ever to "intentionally" land safely on the ground with a wing suit and without a parachute.

Listen below to Dan Egan's Edging the Xtreme interview as Connery describes his royal stunt and what is next for this Hollywood stuntman's career.
