It’s spring time, let the craziness begin! Resorts all over the east are gearing up with pond skimming, mogul contest and pro events. There is plenty to choose from here in New England. Here are my top picks...
This weekend at Killington you can ski with Two-Time Olympian Donna Wieghbrect at her mogul camp or you can ski with me, Dan Egan at my Ski the Beast All Mountain Ski Camp. Rumors running around the east are Donna and I may face off on Outer Limits for a head to head duel mogul challenge. I have my money on Donna.
Also at Killington, Life is good brings its annual music festival to the resort with free live music and family-friendly events all day long on March 22 via outdoor stages at both Snowshed and Bear Mountain. Headlining acts of the Life is good Festival include Allen Stone, Assembly of Dust, Josh Panda and the Hot Damned and Booxbox, which will perform at the Wobbly Barn. Click here to book your tickets.
In addition to donating 10 percent from each one-day lift ticket to the Life is Good Kids Foundation. the weekend of March 22-23, Killington Resort will also offer the following ticket discounts and donations: $59 for a one-day ticket (vs. $89) and $5 from the purchase of each two-day pass goes to The Life is good Kids Foundation. And if that is not enough, all Killington Resort lodges will feature acoustic band performances all day Saturday, March 22.
At Sunday River March 28th and 29th is the Dumont Cup with Pros and Olympians squaring off against the Top Amateurs in the region and the country. Held on the new park T72 Park at Sunday River this the top pro/am event in the East this season.
And ski with Five time Olympian Bode Miller at Cannon Mountain April 5th, there is a fun race with the living legend and an autograph session. Space is limited to sign up at Cannon Mountain's website.
Get out there this spring and enjoy the best skiing and riding of the year here in New England.
