Black Rebel Motorcycle Club grew out of a Bay Area high school friendship between Robert Levon Been and Peter Hayes. Hayes had just left the seminal California band The Brian Jonestown Massacre; fans of that band (like our own Adam 12) note some sonic similarities between BJM & early BRMC.
Been and Hayes are the nucleus of the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club since forming in 1998. Here they perform the song, "Let the Day Begin."
