The Pub
GRADE: 7.91
This nondescript Ball Square tavern briefly played host to an unofficial strand of the Bills Backers, which perhaps gave its ranking a boost. The waitress asked if they want the wings grilled—after they’re deep-fried, of course. They elected to grill, which split the vote. “Great and crispy! Good sauce, love that they grill them,’’ said Cartwright. “These are wings done right.’’ However, Dave Blum deducted points for the maneuver: “Grilling is not traditional.’’ It doesn’t matter. The Pub narrowly missed pulling the surprise top ranking of the voyage.
