Smoken’ Joe’s BBQ & Blues
GRADE: 6.25
While it didn’t rank highest, this music joint may have been the surprise of the wing crawl. Though Joe’s certainly doesn’t claim to have a Buffalo wing—in fact, they serve Memphis wings—they still pulled in some of the best rankings. “Best cooked wing so far,” said Britton. “The sauce has two sides, a smokey barbecue to start then a spicy kick.” It’s “more barbecue than Buffalo, but it kicks you in the pants with spice,” said Perla.
