Urban Daddy reports that Ikura sushi has opened at 254 Newbury St. It’s run by a former sushi chef for the New England Patriots (Tom Brady deserves only the freshest fish), and it features more than 100 varieties of maki.
We’re told to expect a new name and a winter opening date for the hotel restaurant formerly dubbed MC Medici. The mystery restaurant at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront is ambitious: It’s run by James Beard award-winners and Top Chef Masters stars Mark Gaier and Clark Frasier, the team behind Maine’s venerable Arrows.
