Seven Star Street Bistro
Before closing in the late ’90s, Joseph Lin’s Seven Star Mandarin House had a serious following in Newton. Now, a new Seven Star has opened in Roslindale, run by Lin and son Christopher, who attended cooking school in San Francisco. The update specializes in xiao chi, or “small bites” – Taiwanese-style won tons, braised pork belly buns, sticky-sweet ribs in an orange-soy glaze.
