Meat-free dining in the Boston area

Life Alive
This organic cafe is founder Heidi Feinstein's second location — the first opened in Lowell in 2004.
Their warm meals and wraps are all meat-free, with vegetarian and vegan menu options. Try their signature dish, "The Goddess" — smoked tofu, brown rice, and veggies in ginger Nama Shoyu dressing — or a wrap, like "The Seductress" (pictured) — with hard-boiled eggs, broccoli, dark greens, and shredded carrots and beets ($9.25).
