old tyme hockey

This has to be the most insane hockey fight ever: Terry O'Reilly, Mike Milbury, and the rest of the Big Bad Bruins actually climbing over the boards and into the stands to fight with fans at the Madison Square Garden....if that's not crazy enough, one of our own starts beating a New Yorker with the guy's own shoe...

Man! I still can't believe that actually happened....on Dec. 23, 1979. Crazy.

Now let's flash forward to the Bruins of 2006. If you're a hockey fan like myself, then you might be interested in seeing the B's skate sometime this season. On Thursday the Bruins will play the Vancouver Canucks at home – you know, the TD Banknorth Garden.

(For some reason, I have difficulty saying that the Bruins will be playing at "The Gahden." Sure, it's the TD Banknorth Garden...but, as all Bostonians know, The Garden was torn down years ago to make way for the FleetCenter. You know what I'm sayin'.)
