'A Chipmunk Christmas'
"We've been good, but we can't last/
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast"
This 1981 Christmas special starring Alvin, Simon, and Theodore brought to life the song that put these three on the map. In "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)," which first aired in 1958, we hear young Alvin sing about the toy he wants for Christmas, the hula-hoop. In the end though, Alvin finds the true meaning of the holiday when he learns it is better to give than to receive.
