NBC working on 'Munsters' remake
What time is it, Grandpa? Why, Herman, it's time for a "Munsters" remake. NBC is working on an update of the show, according to EW.com. This may not be big news to you, but it is huge in my family. I recall countless days of rushing home from school in time to catch the show in syndication, and lately I've been sharing those wonderful memories with my kids via this. The series, which ran only two seasons, was a sitcom about a family of friendly, misunderstood, blue-collar monsters -- a sort of Dracula and Frankenstein meet "Leave It to Beaver." The reboot is being described as "'Modern Family' meets 'True Blood.'" My kids and I can't wait.
