Priscilla of Boston, the wedding dress maker that opened 65 years ago on Newbury Street, is closing.
David's Bridal, which owns Priscilla, will keep all of its salons open through Dec. 31, according to a post on the company website.
"After nearly 65 years of serving some of America's most beautiful brides, we have made the difficult decision to close our salons after a thorough review of the business environment," the statement reads. "We are grateful to have had the opportunity to help women across the country look their best on one of the most important days of their lives."
Priscilla has 19 stores across the country, including one in Boston. The company says Priscilla employs 61 people in Massachusetts -- 21 in the Boylston Street store and 40 in the corporate office in Charlestown.
