Dennis Kois, whose tenure as executive director of the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum has been marked by acquisitions and hirings, will leave his post in May to head back to his native Wisconsin. He will take over as president and chief executive officer of the Milwaukee Public Museum.
Kois, 44, said in an interview Monday that the decision is entirely based on family. He and his wife, Stacey Schmidt, grew up in Wisconsin and both sets of their parents live there.
