Chances are you haven't heard of painter Gladys Buchs. At her artistic height, she exhibited alongside Morris Louis and Kenneth Noland in the 1960s in Washington, D.C. But Buchs had no taste for self-promotion. Even if she had, it didn't help that she was a woman. By and large, she has remained obscure. (Full article: 882 words)
