A quick art fix

November 27, 2007

For art lovers on the go, the Museum of Fine Arts offers guided lunchtime tours of "Three Masterpieces in Thirty Minutes." Led by trained docents, these half-hour tours often focus on a theme or a particular collection - today's tour features Asian art. As you hoof it through the museum, you will find pairs of shoes (and even wooden stilts, below) placed throughout the galleries. The "Walk This Way" exhibition considers the practical and decorative side of footwear from ancient Egyptian sandals to contemporary designs. Tours run Tue-Fri noon-12:30 p.m. Free with museum admission ($17, $15 seniors and students 18+, $6.50 ages 7-17, free 6 and under). Museum of Fine Arts, 465 Huntington Avenue, Boston. 617-267-9300. mfa.org
