COMEDY

More than the sum of his parts

Email|Print| Text size + By Meredith Goldstein
Globe Staff / January 5, 2008

Comedian Rick Overton 's screen roles aren't very impressive. His parts have included "new wave cop" in an episode of "Remington Steele," Mr. Molasses in an episode of "The Weird Al Show," a police officer in the movie "Eight Legged Freaks" (below), and "Bad Stand-Up Comedian" in an episode of "Joan of Arcadia." But don't hold those bit parts against him. Overton, who is at the Comedy Connection tonight, has also won an Emmy for his work on "Dennis Miller Live." 8 and 10:15 p.m. $22. Comedy Connection, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, 2d floor, Boston. 617-248-9700. comedyconnectionboston.com
