If you see a man walking around Boston today wearing a suit of mirrors with video cameras strapped to his body, don't call 911. It's just Ohio art professor Robert Derr carrying out "Chance: Boston, a psychogeographical walk performance through the streets of Boston." Derr's route will be determined by 30 rolls of a die in front of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, each instructing him to go left, right, forward, or back (for a block), or to stand still or spin (for a minute). The video clips he captures in the process will be put online. It's all part of the "Contaminate 3" Festival of Performance Art. Other events tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m. include performance, sound, video, and installation art (Midway Studios, 15 Channel Center St., Boston. $5 suggested donation.) Walk: 11 a.m.-noon. Free. School of the Museum of Fine Arts, 230 The Fenway, Boston. contaminate-festival.testperformance.org![]()
