A vision of flowers to come
In less than a month, the Arnold Arboretum will be a lilac-lover's paradise during the 100th anniversary celebration of Lilac Sunday. But you don't have to wait until then to bask in the fragrant flowers' glory. Head to the Jamaica Plain plant haven to see "Lilacs - Visions of Spring," a multimedia exhibit by 22 Massachusetts artists. Pieces include Rebecca M. Fullerton's gouache "Hopeful Blooms of Spring" and Soojin Kim's "Lilac" etching (above). Today's hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (through May 18 - call ahead in case there's a private function). Free.
