Improv is comedy's theater-geek cousin, so who better to host Geek Week 2.0 than ImprovBoston? For the next five nights, IB will field a full schedule of geek and nerd-related shows (yes, there is a difference - ask a real geek). The festivities kick off tonight at 7 in the main theater with an opening ceremony featuring sci-fi sketch comedy, followed at 8 by IB's long-form role-playing improv Quest, and ending at 10 with Chris Coxen's "League of Characters" and the troupe Karate Phone; "The Hump," a geektastic version of the regular Wednesday night show, is in the cabaret theater at 8 p.m. $15, $10 students for theater shows; $10, $7 students for cabaret shows. Check website for complete schedule. ImprovBoston, 40 Prospect St., Central Square, Cambridge. 617-576-1253. improvboston.com
