JoBeth Williams stars in the new comedy `Body Awareness'

NEW YORK—At Vermont's idyllic Shirley State College, they are celebrating "Body Awareness Week," but then a photographer shows up, carting his collection of photographs of naked women.

Such is the stuff of Annie Baker's new comedy, which will have its world premiere as the final offering of the Atlantic Theater Company's current season.

JoBeth Williams, best known for her roles in such films as "Poltergeist" and "The Big Chill," will star, along with Peter Friedman, Mary McCann and Jonathan Clem. The play, directed by Karen Kohlhaas, opens June 4 at the Atlantic's Stage 2, 330 W. 16th St. Preview performances begin May 28.
