Wonders of the print

"Carroll Dunham Prints: A Survey," a brilliant show at the Addison Gallery of American Art, may be a dream for those who thrill to the endless possibilities offered up by printmaking. But there are other things that stand out about Dunham's art. Like, for instance, images littered with phallic shapes spurting gooey drips, banana-shaped breasts, and sundry hairy orifices. The artist as icon

There is no more iconic American artist than Georgia O'Keeffe. And the photographic rendering and enhancement of her fame is the subject of the Portland Museum of Art's highly satisfying "Georgia O'Keeffe and the Camera: The Art of Identity," which includes 18 works by her and more than 60 photographs of the artist or her surroundings. Through Sept. 7. 207-775-6148, portland museum.org
