Opening at the Experimental Art Gallery & Studio today is "Laura Rollins: cool blue smooth and creamy," a show by Rollins, who, incidentally, also has a piece in the "Mementos of Celebration" exhibition at the Salem Arts Association. Rollins's work often combines serious subjects with comical elements, and she's taken her occasional instinct to be "cheesy" to a new level - a few of her works (including "Something Presidential," above) are actually made with Velveeta. You'll see 14 pieces and some Velveeta ornaments. Opening reception from 4 to 7 p.m. today. Show up through July 28. Experimental Art Gallery & Studio, 24 New Derby Street #4, Salem. 781-439-1540.
