FAMILY
Ren McCormack and his friends are trying to figure out how to break the law. The teens want rock music and dancing at their senior prom, both of which are banned in their close-minded town, so they have to come up with a way to get around the law, as well as a curmudgeonly reverend. The 1999 Tony-winning musical "Footloose," based on the 1984 movie with Kevin Bacon and Sarah Jessica Parker (and that catchy song by Kenny Loggins), is performed by the Concord Youth Theatre's Teen Players, who hail from Lexington, Concord, Carlisle, and other communities that don't prohibit rock music and dancing. (At left: Amy Nosowitz as Ariel and Alex Parrish as Ren.) 7:30 p.m. $15. Lexington High School, 251 Waltham St., Lexington. 978-371-1482. [J.W.]![]()
