The ends of the earth

Think our winters are cold? Try crossing the frozen Arctic to get to the North Pole. You can learn about the world's polar regions at Polar Atrium Alive, two days of art activities, music, and special events in conjunction with the exhibit "To the Ends of the Earth, Painting the Polar Landscape." Activities include "Polar Adventures in Songs" (Sat at 4 p.m., Sun 2 and 4 p.m.), artist demonstrations and activities (Sat 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Sun noon-4 p.m.), and drop-in art activities where kids draw the polar night skies (Sat and Sun 1-3 p.m.). Sat 10 a.m.- 5 p.m., Sun noon-4:30 p.m. $15, $13 seniors, $11 students, free for 16 and under.
