Danny Zuko, the '50s version of Robert Pattinson, spent a glorious summer with Sandy Dumbrowski, who happens to show up at Rydell High on the first day of school as the new girl in town. It sounds like the plot line from "High School Musical," but it's "Grease," the granddaddy-of-them-all teen musical that opens tonight in Providence. "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks stars as Teen Angel in this national tour that sprouted from the TV series "Grease: You're The One That I Want." Tonight at 7 (Through Dec. 7). $41-$68. Providence Performing Arts Center, 220 Weybosset St., Providence. 401-421-2787. www.ppacri.org
