Mela Lyman spent a few months at the Cambridge Arts Council Gallery creating her large-scale mural "Anxiety of Beauty - Revisiting the Fountain of Youth." At tonight's launch of First Mondays @ CAC Gallery, you can see the piece - and the Cambridge-based artist - before its spring installation in Cambridge's Paine Park on St. Mary Road. The mural shows swimmers in a dreamlike landscape looking above and below the surface, and forward and back in time. Other Lyman swimmers can be seen at Logan's Water Shuttle Terminal. The monthly gallery series is a mix of visual and performing arts, food tasting, and more. Tonight from 6-8 p.m. Free. CAC Gallery, Cambridge City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway, Cambridge. 617-349-4380. www.cambridgeartscouncil.org
