It's a revelation

Boston audiences get a treat when the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is in town. In a recent phone interview, artistic director and former Ailey dancer, Judith Jamison, told us that the company ends all Boston performances with Alvin Ailey's signature piece, "Revelations." There are more treats when the troupe is here to celebrate its 50th anniversary, including Boston native and company dancer Kirven J. Boyd and tonight's "Go in Grace" choreographed by company dancer Hope Boykin. The piece features a performance by the female a cappella ensemble, Sweet Honey in the Rock.
