Gloucester’s Rocky Neck is an artistic haven full of quaint galleries, exquisite views, and funky shops and restaurants. Head north to see for yourself at tomorrow’s Rocky Neck Art Colony’s Nights on the Neck. There’ll be receptions and lots of entertainment, including Three Sheets to the Wind performing maritime work songs, author Corwin Ericson reading from his novel-in progress, “Swell,’’ and Ev Harlow & Friends with a collection of wacky songs. July 2 from 5 to 9 p.m., rain or shine. Free. Rocky Neck Avenue, East Gloucester. 617-417-3777. www.rockyneckartcolony.org
