When Soojin Kim’s father was a child during the Korean War, American G.I.’s gave him sweets. The boy grew up and shared these moments of happiness with his family. Kim remembers her father in paintings of candy and cookies, on view at “Moments of Happiness’’ at the Perrin Gallery in Brookline. Chung Shil Shimdocuments happiness through paintings of middle-age high school friends. The Korean-born, Boston artists received diplomas from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.
