Peasant Giselle falls in love with Prince Albrecht who dresses like a peasant to win her heart (because the creep is already engaged). She finds out, dies of a broken heart, ends up in a forest full of spirits of young women who died before their wedding day, and that’s all we’re gonna say. “Giselle’’ opens the Boston Ballet season with a rotating cast of Giselles and Albrechts (below, Larissa Ponomarenko and Roman Rykine). Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. (through Oct. 11). $25-$155. The Boston Opera House, 539 Washington St., Boston. 617-695-6955. www.bostonballet.org
