The fate of seven plays is in your hands at SLAMBoston: Diverse Voices in Theatre, where a cash prize will be awarded to the playwright, director, and actors involved in the performance that gets the audience’s loudest, most raucous applause. The contestants include Philana Gnatowski’s “Her Dying Wish,’’ about two sisters discussing their mother’s final wishes, John Greiner-Ferris’s “Minot Light,’’ where love on the rocks is figurative and literal for two ex-lovers, and Charles Watson’s “Christmas Visits.’’ Four of the playwrights live in the Boston area. 8 p.m. $17. The Factory Theatre, 791 Tremont St., Boston. www.theatermania.com
