Public to choose best Vermont forest shots

WATERBURY, Vt.—The state Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation wants your help picking the best shots of Vermont's forests.

Vermonters can vote online at http://www.vtforest.com for their favorite forestry photo entered into the Forestry Centennial Photography Contest. The contest celebrates 100 years of the Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation helping Vermonters take care of their forests.

The grand prize winner will get a commemorative wooden log truck and a one-year season's pass to Vermont state parks. Runners up also will receive a one-year season's pass to the state parks.

Winners will be announced Dec. 1.
