Of the five dances at tonight’s Inca Son performance, we’re most intrigued by the Scissor Dance. Two ornately attired male dancers compete with each other to see who can do the most spectacularly acrobatic feats and dance steps while clicking scissors in their hands. Joining the dancers at this 20th-anniversary concert of Mexican and Peruvian song and dance will be mariachi vocalist Veronica Robles. 8 p.m. $15, $20 at the door. Please bring a nonperishable food item for First Parish’s “Tuesday Meals’’ program. First Parish Church Cambridge, 1446 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge. 781-284-4622. www.brownpapertickets.com/event/83160
