When Robert St. Pierre lived in Duxbury near the Art Complex Museum, the wood sculptor worked the saw dust from his studio into his garden soil. Now a resident of North Carolina, St. Pierre’s solo show of wooden pottery, “On Their Own,’’ is on view in his former hometown. Pieces made from poplar, box elder, and spalted maple (pictured) are crafted mostly from trees downed or damaged by storms. May 30, 1-4 p.m. (through Aug. 15; reception July 11, 1:30-3:30 p.m.). Free. The Art Complex Museum, 189 Alden St., Duxbury. 781-934-6634. www.artcomplex.org
