Here’s a baker’s dozen of New York City museums that offer free or pay-what-you-wish admission at some point each week. But beware: The lines can get long, so arriving early is a very good idea. Bear in mind, too, that some museums - including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Brooklyn Museum - charge a suggested rather than set admission price.
