In quick summary, Walt McGough’s “Priscilla Dreams the Answer’’ sounds awfully cute. Why, then, did Fresh Ink Theatre Company - dedicated to producing new work by area playwrights - choose it to open its first season? “It’s quirky and whimsical, which I think is definitely lovely in the December season,’’ says Fresh Ink artistic director Louise Hamill. “It has heart, and it has a message that doesn’t hit you over the head.’’ Directed by Melanie Garber, the show is not quite as gossamer as it might sound.
