In an ooky new light
‘Addams Family’ comes to town with some snap added to the production

When “The Addams Family,’’ the musical, opened on Broadway in 2010, expectations ran high - but the show got reviews that were altogether ooky. Still, it ran for 722 performances. The touring production, which will arrive at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre on Tuesday for a two-week run, afforded the creative team a welcome opportunity to revamp the book and tighten up the plot line.
