The reviews are in, and Elvis Costello gets raves for last night's sold-out opening night with the Boston Pops. Our favorite line: Esteemed critic Richard Dyer describing EC's resemblance to Henry Kissinger. Earlier in the afternoon, Costello turned on the charm at an afternoon press conference.

And later, come on back for a treat not even the mugs at the $10,000 tables got to hear. We recorded part of EC's pre-show rehearsal, and - techie-permitting - will slap a clip up.

Why this photo? Because even though everybody tells us we're supposed to love the super-smart, aria-tested Elvis of today, we still miss the angry, young man.
